161. Can the dead live 2What would you do if Jesus didn’t answer your prayer like you wanted Him to? Would you be mad at Him and not pray anymore? Martha didn’t do that although her brother had died. When Jesus finally came, Lazarus had been buried for awhile already. Martha: "Jesus, if you had come earlier, then my brother would not have died." Jesus: "Lazarus will rise again." Martha: "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day when God raises everyone to life." Jesus: "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, will live even when he dies. Do you believe this?" Martha: "I believe that you are the Son of God." Believing in Jesus is always the best thing to do. Even when you sometimes don’t understand Him, believing in Jesus is always the best thing to do. Martha ran to the house. Martha: "Mary, Jesus is waiting for you." (sound of feet running) She couldn’t understand why her brother had to die. She ran to Jesus with tears in her eyes. Mary: "Jesus, if you had been here, Lazarus wouldn‘t have died." Jesus: "Where did you bury him?" Mary: "Come with me and I’ll show you." Many mourners accompanied them to the grave that was sealed with a large stone. And there Jesus also wept. Man: "He’s crying. He loved him a lot." Man: "Why did He let him die then?" Jesus: "Take away the stone." Martha was appalled. Martha: "Lord, he’s been dead for four days. There will be a stench." Jesus: "Martha, if you believe in Me, you will see the glory of God." Believing in Jesus is always the best thing to do, even when the worst happens. And even when you don’t understand Him, believing in Jesus is always the best thing to do. Men pushed the stone away. Then Jesus looked up. Jesus: "Father, You always hear my prayer. Lazarus! Come out!" A miracle happened. The dead man came out of the grave! Many who saw this believed in Jesus. Believing in Jesus is always the best thing to do, regardless of what happens.
