154. Jesus is the victor 2

Satan is sneaky and evil. Don’t take him lightly. The devil is not a fairy tale figure. In the Bible it says that he prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to destroy.

Child: "I never thought that he really exists."

He is God‘s enemy who does everything in order to keep us from believing in God. Do you remember his number one tactic?

Child: "He sows doubt and distrust against God."

Be aware of how he does that with you. Don’t fall into this trap. Ask the Lord Jesus to protect you. For He is the victor over the devil.

God’s Son was his favorite target. The devil absolutely wanted to stop Jesus from dying on the cross for us. He wanted to prohibit us from receiving eternal life with God. That’s why he took the offensive.

Devil: "If you are the Son of God, then turn these stones into bread. If you are the Son of God, then jump off the highest tower. God will protect you."

Jesus is the victor! He didn’t have any need to prove to the devil that He was indeed God’s Son. After this, the enemy used his number two tactic: He made a big promise.

Devil: "I’ll give you the whole world if you bow down and worship me."

Jesus: "Be gone, Satan! In the holy Bible it says: You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only."

Jesus is the victor! He just says one sentence and the devil has to flee.

Jesus is the victor! That’s why the devil hates Him.

When Jesus hung on the cross, the enemy used his last weapon.

Devil: "If you’re truly the Son of God, then come down from the cross."

If Jesus had done that, we would be lost forever. Then there would be no forgiveness of our sins. Then there would be no eternal life with God.

But Jesus persevered. He is the victor! On the cross He conquered sin, death and the devil himself. His resurrection is the proof.

When you believe in Jesus, then you’re on the winner’s side.

Do not be afraid, for Jesus Christ is the victor!

Remember to call on His name always! Pray to Him, He will protect you.
