133. School of life 1

Welcome to the school of life! It’s great that you’re with us.

Girl: "Join us, it’s fun."

(sound of street noises: tires squeaking, cars honking, bike bells ringing…)

Boy and girl alternately: "Yield right of way – No parking – Sharp curves – White and red arrows – Where am I? Where do I have to go? – Stop sign – Caution: slippery ice."

So many signs – and they’re so diverse. The traffic signs at the side of the road are very important. They’re not there to hold you back or aggravate you, but to protect you and take you to your destination.

In the Bible, God set up 'signs' for your life’s journey. He doesn’t want to aggravate us with His commands, but to protect our lives. Whoever abides by His rules will reach his journey’s end.

Girl: "Join us in the school of life."

Boy: "I’m sure you’ll pass the test."

The journey through life is exciting.

There are two paths, but we can only choose one of them. The Bible is like a road map. It shows us which way we’re going.

Reader: "Go through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide that leads to destruction. Many choose to go that way. But the gate is narrow and the path is straight that leads to eternal life. Only a few choose to go that way."

The Bible is like a guidepost. It shows us that Jesus Christ is the only Way to God.

Reader: "Jesus says: I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me" (John 14:6).

When the journey of our lives takes us through problems, as if we were going through a dark tunnel and we can’t see a way out, then we can look to the Bible, for it is like a light, like a good spotlight.

And the Lord Jesus is the best teacher in our school of life. He wants to go with you through life. Whether you’re down and out, or have an accident, He will be with you and won‘t leave you alone. This He has promised.

Reader: "Call to me in the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me" (Psalm 50:15).

Prayer is the best emergency option. Try it!

I wish you a good trip on your journey of life.

STOP! In the next drama the journey will continue.
