37. Jumping for joy at 3:00 o’clock

Man: "That just isn’t possible!"

Woman: "Oh yes it is! Look! He can walk."

Man: "Maybe he has a look-alike."

Woman: "I’m very sure that he’s the one. He was lame for 40 years and now he can walk."

Man: "If that’s not a miracle! I’ve never seen anything like it."

Woman: "Look at how happy he is. He’s so happy that he’s jumping for joy."

It’s true: He walked and jumped and praised God. The people stared at him and at Peter.

Peter: "Why are you staring at us as if we made this lame man walk again? Jesus did it! Believing in His name can do miracles."

The day actually began like any other day. In the afternoon Peter and John went to the temple. This was a habit of theirs, praying every day in the temple at 3:00 o’clock. When do you pray?

At the entrance they were detained. A lame beggar held out his hand to them:

Lame man: "Don’t walk past me! Have mercy with me! Please give me money."

Peter and John looked at the beggar and Peter said:

Peter: "I don’t have any silver or gold. I’m not wealthy. But what I have I’ll give to you: In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, stand up and walk."

Then Peter took him by the hand and helped him stand up. The miracle occurred. Immediately the man’s feet and joints grew strong and firm. He jumped up and could stand and walk.

The man couldn’t believe it. He was healthy again! He walked and jumped and thanked God. Overjoyed he praised God, and everyone who saw him did the same.

Jesus wants to do miracles in your life; trust Him.
